Megan and Ashley created a quick impromptu wedding last Saturday at The Pressroom, downtown Lancaster. It was a perfect fall wedding. Leaves were blowing, the wind started howling and the holiday lights were light in Steinman Park. Megan and Ashley have the most adorable son Rhys. Ryhs cracked me up, he’s a pretty cool dude.
Megan and I graduated high school together and have kept in contact throughout the years. We share the same passion for photography. Luckily this was the only weekend I had open in November. Everything fell into place quite nicely with only three weeks of planning! You’re a super woman Megan!
Thanks for allowing me to be part of your day! Enjoy~
All I have to say is find a European man ladies, because the love in their eyes and their affection that comes through is inspiring! HA! Luc is from France, ooolala! Both families were so warm and inviting towards me. Not only was it the first time for some of Luc’s family and friends to be in America but it was the first time both families met. My first international couple. I learned a lot about different wedding traditions. I loved observing it all. The interaction, affection, laughs and the tears.
Faith and Luc met prior to their wedding because of the lack of light after their ceremony. I absolutely LOVE to photograph couples meeting for the first time prior to their ceremony. For me it’s more intimate and more direct. Here is Faith walking around the corner to see Luc’s back for the first time. Ahh, the anticipation, love love, love it!
Onto the reception at Mulberry Art Studio. Mulberry looked wonderful. The artwork was so fitting for Faith and Luc. In France your guest, not sure if it’s family and friends or one or the other, present a skit for the bride and groom. Faith and Luc’s friends performed two skits. One was hilarious where they performed a part of a famous French comedy scene. There was dancing, harmonica playing, it was great. The second skit was performed by all of their friends. They sang a song and performed a rap with some dancing from one of Luc’s brothers. Very touch and very funny as well. Kinda wished this was an American tradition as well.
Faith holding onto Luc during their first dance. They were always connected through touch contact during the whole day. That’s love!
Instead of cake they have a three tiers of cream puffs. Held on by a sugar like glaze drizzled all around.
There is a an elevator in Mulberry. I’m telling where but it’s fun to play with. Here are their end of the night shots.
Thank you Faith and Luc for including me in your day. You’re love is inspiring and touching. I promise to visit you in France some day. Pinky promise. I wish you the best.
xoxoxo K.
Sometimes I love computers and technology and software. Then sometimes I have a day like today where I’m about to throw Adobe Photoshop out of the window. If I had windows in my studio you’d be in trouble Photoshop.
Faith and Luc please forgive me for being so behind in posting your images. The two of you are so beautiful and there are TONS of images I’d love to post right now. Just for today here are a couple and the rest tomorrow.
Enjoy! I’ll tell the story of Faith and Luc on their real preview tomorrow.
I’m starting off with one of my favorite images, Faith’s dress.
I’m WAY behind on blogging. I appologize. BUT I’m doing multiple posts today!!
Laugh all you want but a couple of weeks ago (Oct 25th) I finally got to go to the beach. I know. It was October. Probably why I’m so pale but I love the beach during the off season. I got to share the weekend with some of my great girlfriends. Typical champagne drinking, painting toe nails while crying to Sex in the City type of weekend. Man, did I need that! I returned to Lancaster rejuvenated and refreshed.
Saturday it was rainy than sunny than windy than rainy…rinse and repeat….type of weather. Anyways while it was sunny I stepped outside with my camera onto the front balcony and captured this fun series.
Makes me feel young again reminiscing about simple pleasures in life. Here are some more favorites of my friends.
Time to head home.
Thank you ladies, I love you all.
More posts to come later today; Faith and Luc AND the Phillies World Series Parade!
